About arbeitseinsatz.ch

Even in green Switzerland, more and more habitats are being lost. Every helping hand is needed to preserve them, because some of the tasks can only be carried out thanks to volunteers. In our missions, we protect ecologically valuable areas and make nature accessible. Our participants get their hands dirty and thus gain a new approach to the environment. In dialogue with our mission leaders, previous behavior is questioned through practical environmental education, alternatives are shown and new skills and knowledge for promoting biodiversity are imparted in a playful way.

The organization arbeitseinsatz.ch is run by the non-profit association Naturnetz. The association Naturnetz is one of the largest community service organizations in Switzerland and provides countless hours of work for nature conservation every year. Thanks to Naturnetz's extensive knowledge and wealth of experience, arbeitseinsatz.ch has the ideal conditions for practical environmental education missions to promote and preserve Switzerland's flora and fauna. In addition, arbeitseinsatz.ch can draw on the extensive infrastructure of Naturnetz and thus offer missions in many regions of Switzerland from various local locations.

The arbeitseinsatz.ch platform was not founded by Naturnetz, but was launched by Sergio Menzi in 2014. At the beginning there were two missions per year. The demand for practical environmental education and nature conservation was and is great and so the number of missions grew to an impressive 40 by 2018. At the beginning of 2019 the platform was successfully taken over by the Naturnetz association. Since then the platform has continued in the same spirit and is growing steadily.
