The Gloggenmaas nature reserve is located in Birmensdorf. This area is home to endangered plant species such as the rare carnivorous sundew, the Swiss elecampane and the flesh-coloured orchid. Rare and endangered insects such as the Corn-wheat fritillary, the Marbled White and many dragonfly species also have their home in Gloggenmaas.

Unfortunately, various invasive plants grow there, which are very strong competitors for the native flora. Our focus is on combating North American goldenrod and native reeds. These cover large areas in the nature reserve.

Join us in fighting these invasive species, get to know rare Swiss plant species and give them the chance to grow and thrive!
